Rudawy Janowickie - done.

And so it happened - for the first time on this blog the plan has officially came to pass. What happened exactly though is that we did not manage to do Ostra Mała and Skalnik on the first day - due to the fact that we have been through a lot after a long while, plus one of our friends was not particularly fond of the mountains... and also it turned out that there was no store in Czarnów whatsoever, so we needed to go half and hour to the next village - Pisarzowice, to get something to eat for the evening and for the next day.
The next day we did not manage to get out so early as I would want, but we still managed to climb Skalnik and see Ostra Mała and the Horses of the Apocalips. Pretty shame though that we did not know where exactly was the pick and in which moment to take a turn to see this famous view on Karkonosze from Skalnik...
Well I did get my view from the next pick, but the clarity of the air wasn't the best. Of course you could see Sniezka, but to catch it on a photo wasn't quite that easy. Plus my camera was going nuts all the way, so I am quite happy with the pics I could get under those circumstances.
The walk for the next day was quite a long one, though after Skalnik it was quite simple. But we ran out of water too fast and we did not have enough strength to climb on any of the Staroscinskie Sklay (though we went on to the Furnece - quite a nice view). So this is left for the next time. Also we left for the next time both boobies ;) - meaning Krzyżna Góra and Sokolik are still on the menu - this is also due to the unplanned events, like lady charging tones of money for a fish at the Swiss Hut... a good one though ;)

Anyway pics to document the road. Also on Magda's account. Some of them - I must mention - are taken also by Magda or by me with her camera, because of troubles with mine. A new plan - must get me a good one to make better landscapes.

New short plans on short term

The plans for the plans have changed when a new Mountain priority occured. This happens to be the part of Sudety Mountians called Rudawy Janowickie and we plan to go there this weekend.
The plan is as follows - we leave Wroclaw 8:10 bus to Kamienna Gora and we are supposed to be in Marciszow at 10:35. And this is the place where we start walking.
The first goal is the Colorful lakes near a village called Wiesciszowice - there are supposed to be three small lakes with water in three different colours. First one is purple, next one is turquoise and the last one is green. I have heard that the last one has dried out, but we will see...
Then we will climb the mountain nearby called Wielka Kopa and after that we will go south-west to the highest part of Rudawy Janowickie, near village Czarnow. We have a place there to stay for the night, but if we will feel alright, we will try to climb on the Ostra Mala rock and maybe even Skalnik Mountain. This is the highest mountain here and it is said that the view on Karkonosze mountains from the top of Skalnik takes your breath away.
So if we manage to climb them the first day, this will be awesome, because then the next day will start with an easier way :) up north. We want o cross the Starocisnkie Rocks and turn a bit west to climb the next famous mountains in Rudawy - that is Sokolik and Krzyzna Gora. There is also this old Swiss hut over there.
Then we have to catch the train at Trzcinsko or at Janowice Wielkie at around 6pm. And that's about it.
Looking forward to see, how it will work out.

Change of plans...

Or at least change of numeration of plans.

Next year there seems to be a conference of stochastic processes in Malaga, Andalucia, Spain. This means that I will try to make it to this conference and somehow connect it with the Plan no 3. Since there is no need to be on the talks every day, and Malaga is situated such that it shouldn't take more than 2-3 hours to get to most of the places I want to get, this makes a great start point for the trips. Then I would plan to move to some other location - maybe closer to Cadiz - for one more week.

Details later, but at last this starts to take shape. And here I thought I will be overcome by lack of time.

Few Plans...

OK... so it may seem that the blog does not work as it should. Wellllll maybe a bit. But it is all due to the fact, that I don't have time to prepare a proper draft version of the plan.

So maybe I will just now mention the plans I already have and that need taking care of and publishing on the blog in the right way. First let's start with the big ones, but still possible to realize within a year from now:

1. North-West of Spain. I mostly have in mind Galicia, Asturia, Cantabria and Pais Vasco. I don't expect to have time for any visits to Castilla y Leon, or to La Rioja, though this could be also taken into consideration - we will see during the planning.

2. North-East of Spain. Meaning Cataluna, Arragon, Navarra and then possibly La Rioja.

3. Andalucia - too much to see there to add something more ;) Though I might consider Murcia here.

4. Valencia, Murcia, Castilla La Mancha.

5. Extremadura, Castilla y Leon and maybe a bit of Portugal.

ufff - 5 years for spain ;) With the 1 and 3 being the crucial ones. I will possibly start in the nearest future with the plan no 1.
Or maybe I will start with the small ones, those which will be only one weekend long. And here we have:

1. Szczeliniec Mountain - finally this should be done, as we have been "walking around" this topic for a year now. I think this trip should also include some rocks from the side of Radkow, or Polanica Zdroj - this depends on if we will do it in one day or two. I'd prefer two days, though I will still need time to iron shirts on sunday ;)

2. Czech Rock City in Tieplice and around there - though I have been there when I was pretty young, I would still like to go there once again. Think it is even possible to do it in one day, though maybe two days would be better.

3. Czech side of Karkonosze mountains - since I took a pick on them while being in Karkonosze in May, I can't help it - I just NEED to go there. They looked amazing from Sniezka Mountain. But this is definately 2 or even 3 days trip. So maybe for the next long weekend ;)

4. Some castles around Wroclaw like Czocha, Kamieniec Zabkowicki, Chojnik, Bolkow... This should be thought in a way to see at least 2-3 castles in one day.

For thouse less realistic, I would only mention New Zealand, Tasmania, Chile, Argentina, Peru, Colombia and Venezuela, Latin america around Panama, Honduras, Nikaragua... Caribbean islands including Puerto Rico, Cuba, Haiti... yeah - this is definatelly less realistic... but who knows, eh?

Making plans for the brand new blog...

I have always been making plans. It's not that I am not spontaneous and that I have everything planned... But... well maybe I do have many plans and I get nervous when something or someone is not sticking to my plan, but that's not the point.
The point is that I making plans takes me usually more time than realization. Sometimes I spend so much time making up plans, that I end up having almost no time for doing what I set out to do. Other thing, probably worse, is that even though I get so much fun making those plans, I end up bored as hell while making them happen and usually drop them in the middle. So much for sticking to the plan myself... And so much on focusing on the goal.
But the worst thing is when I come up with a brilliant plan for something and then I put it off for like... never. And this is what I decided to fight with and this is how I decided to fight:

I came up with idea for this blog when I was making plans (duh!) for the next year's (once again DUH!) trip to Spain. Since I have had this plan in my mind for 2 years now, I think I really need to make it happen and I need something that will help me go through with it. And so the magical answer would be: make a PLAN for a PLAN - tah-dah!!!
As stupid as it may sound I really think that I can make it work.

I have decided to document the plans here, with emphasis on how they evolve and how I make them come to pass. Think it is the first step to end up actually REALIZING them. And I need to make myself realize at least those travelling plans - just for the sake of my sanity ;)

The plan for the plans is the following:
1. Draft version of the plan - when, where, more or less how and what.
2. Evolution - from the most general to the most detailed way.
3. Progression in realization - what I managed to do to make it happen
4. The final realization as the way of saying THE PLAN WORKED!

At the moment I have 2 big plans and couple of small ones. I hope I will manage to realize the plan of planning for them ;)

And so maybe I am not spontaneous. Maybe it's because I always end up worrying that I lack this or that to do something else.. blah blah blah... typical, I know. But who said that it's so cool being spontaneous when it apparently does not work for me ;)
Besides I can end up being spontaneous during the trip (yeah right :P) but first I need to make it happen.

So... fasten your seatbelts cause we are starting... THE PLANNING ;)
